Scarborough Athletic U19 will play their first home league fixture of the 21/22 season on Monday 11th October at the Flamingo Land Stadium.
The team, which has joined the West Riding County U23 Development League will be playing against teams of older ages in a more competitive environment following the collapse of the Northern Youth Alliance League due to a lack of teams. Other teams in the league include Farsley, Pickering Town, Tadcaster Albion and Worsbrough Bridge.
The seadogs will be able to field players up to the age of 23, whilst also able to have a couple of "above age" players in the squad each game.
Football Development Director Paul Exley said "Moving to this league will provide a greater challenge to a number of players coming through the youth setup and falling out of professional clubs, whilst also serving a purpose for players in the first team who need game time".
"We are also pleased to be able to welcome back committed players to the squad, who would otherwise have been ineligible to play for the town".
The opening game kicks off at 8pm against Golcar United, admission is £2 to cover matchday costs with entry via the clubhouse from 7.30pm.
