Boro Juniors round-up

Scarborough Athletic Under-12s grabbed a battling point after a thrilling 3-3 draw at Doncaster Elite in the JPL.

Doncaster moved 1-0 in front, despite good pressure from Boro, that led to Charlie Evans hitting the bar.
The hosts extended their lead to 2-0 against the run of play, before Finlay Sayers-Barker trimmed the lead, slotting home from close range.
Boro were unlucky not to draw level after they dominated the period, but instead it was Doncaster who made it 3-1 on the break.
In the final 20 minutes, Sayers-Barker grabbed his second after good work from Monty Burlinson.
The comeback and Sayers-Barker's hat-trick were completed in the dying embers when he received an Evans cross, spun and fired home.
Sayers-Barker collected the man of the match honour, in what was a good all-round performance.
Scarborough Athletic Under-14s secured a quarter-final place in the North Riding FA Junior Cup by beating a well-drilled Boro Rangers Yellows team 5-2. It was Rangers who took the lead against the run of play, but it wasn’t long before Ross Buttler equalised for Boro with a neat finish into the bottom corner. Finlay Hopper added a second and Connor Webster hit a 30-yard screamer into the top corner to make it 3-1 at half time.
Boro Rangers increased the intensity after the break and made it 3-2 before Scarborough took control again.
A Rio Stuttard effort was handled on the line by a defender, with Rueben Taylor slotting home the penalty.
Some neat play down the right and a clever pull back across the box was finished off by Stuttard to make sure of the Boro win.
