Club Statement - Regarding the FA Cup fixture with Ashton

Our FA Cup fixture on Tuesday against Ashton United will now be played 'behind closed doors'.

Recent spikes in local Covid-19 infections in North Yorkshire and in particular Scarborough, have led to communications between the club, North Yorkshire County Council Public Health and Scarborough Borough Council.
During these communications, Public Health informed us that they could not support this event.
Therefore, in the interests of the health of both our supporters and the wider community of Scarborough, it was both right and necessary to make this decision.
We wish to thank Ashton United for their understanding and support on this matter.
The match will be live streamed, with full details to be released on Sunday.
We will start work on ticket refunds on Monday and will rerelease full information on how this will happen.
Information on other fixtures will follow once discussions have taken place with the relevant authorities in dealing with what is hopefully a short term situation.
