Community Inclusion Plan Update

The recent period of uncertainty has proved difficult for everyone as we have had to go about things very differently.

Our work and leisure time has changed and we have had to adapt to a ‘new normal’ . This has also been true for how we have been doing our business at the club.  Now we have some direction of what football is initially going to look like and the new league season will soon be upon us and we will be able to resume football again, which is brilliant news.

The Community Outreach Team has continued (albeit in a scaled down version) to plan for when football resumes at the Flamingo Land Stadium.  We are now in a position to publish our new Community Inclusion Plan (CIP)  for 2020/22 in the Club Section of our website.

I would like to specifically draw your attention to the Football Buddies initiative in the CIP where we are looking to recruit and offer training to new Buddies who will receive and support people from our community that wouldn’t normally be able to attend a football match.

This forms part of our Core Offer to our Community in helping to reduce ‘loneliness and isolation’, if you would like any more information about this initiative or anything contained within the CIP then please contact me on 07483843107 or [email protected] and hopefully see you soon at the Flamingo Land Stadium.
