Matlock Town Preview

Boro host Steve Kittrick's Matlock Town at the Flamingo Land Stadium on Saturday, with a 3pm kick off.
Steve Kittrick returns to Scarborough for the first time since leaving the seadogs in March 2019 after securing promotion and reaching two North Riding Senior Cup finals and a League Cup Final during his three years with Boro. Kittrick will be joined with former favourites Bailey Gooda and Luke Dean, who also achieved promotion in the homecoming season with Boro.
Matlock started the season off well, sitting at the top of the table, however following a number of poor results, now find themselves just above the relegation places, however with games in hand owing to a successful run in the FA Trophy. Matlock have yet to pick up a point in league action during their two games in 2020, last collecting three points on 21st December after defeating Bamber Bridge 2-1.
Boro will be raring to go on Saturday, with Chris Dawson and T'Nique Fishley recovered from their illnesses. Wayne Brooksby returns from suspension as a number of loan signings including Jacob Gratton and Kieran Glynn are set to feature, subject to ratification. Kian Spence is the only doubt.
