Seadog Trust Announces Launch PartyThe evening will kick off at 7pm, with the bar staying open until 1am. Seadog Trust wants as many Boro fans past and present to attend, and help us celebrate this important step forward for Scarborough Football Club. Simon Cope, Seadog Trust Chair stated, “We urge all Boro fans who are interested in the future of the Club to turn up for this event. It is going to be an informal evening with the emphasis on fun – basically a big celebration of Seadog Trust being formed.”
Fans will have the chance to mingle with their Boro heroes on the night. Seadog Trust has been contacting ex-players, asking them to lend their support. Confirmed attendees already include Jeff Barmby, Ian Ironside, Steve Richards, and Harry A Dunn. Jason Rockett should hopefully be making an appearance as well. Simon Cope said, “We are delighted that such high-profile players from Boro’s past are supporting this venture. It reinforces our belief that Seadog Trust is crucial to the future of the Football Club.”
Seadog Trust will be holding an auction of sporting memorabilia on the night, giving Boro fans the chance to get their hands on various football-related items. The lots that have already been kindly donated to the Trust include a limited edition signed plate from our promotion season, a pair of tickets to a Rugby Union International match at Twickenham, and a Middlesbrough FC signed pennant. In addition Harry A Dunn has donated the tie that he wore before and after the 1977 FA Trophy final at Wembley. Seadog Trust would like to extend their thanks to Harry for making this generous offer. We are expecting to receive more auction items in the coming weeks.
Finally, and most importantly, Boro fans will be able to join Seadog Trust at the Launch Party. Full adult membership costs only £12 per year, giving the member one share in the Trust, and one vote to use at general meetings. Junior and Family memberships will also be available. Seadog Trust volunteers will be on hand throughout the Launch Party to assist fans in becoming members.
