Hunter Rambles to Raise Awareness of Stand Appeal

Dave Hunter is walking Scarborough to Whitby on Tuesday 3rd September prior to our away derby fixture with Whitby.

Boro supporter, Dave will be walking the 19 miles North in a bid to raise awareness and funds towards the “New Stand Appeal”, whereby the club is aiming to fundraise £16,000 by the end of the season to cover the build costs of the new Adverset Stand or face budget cuts elsewhere.

The running total for the appeal is at £3,675 following a recent anonymous donation of £500 and another generous donation from Dave Hunter himself.

Dave will be departing at 11am for the journey, hoping to reach Whitby at 6pm for a well deserved refreshment at the Whitehouse Inn on Upgang Lane, Whitby. Donations can be made online via the crowdfunding page here>>

Alternatively, donations can also be made at the burger van located inside the Ground on Saturday or directly to Dave at the games on Saturday or at Whitby on Tuesday. On behalf of all supporters, thank you to Dave for taking time out of his day to raise money for our club. All donations are gratefully received.

As a supporters owned and run football club, the success of the club is down to the supporters, which we should be grateful that we have to operate within our own prudent financial constraints. We do not wish to follow the acts of our beloved Scarborough FC and our destiny is ours to control.

A new fundraising team has been developed to include supporters who may have ideas and willing to put into practice their ideas to support our club. If you have an idea and are able to bring an idea to fruition, please contact Fundraising Director, Sarah Dowey at sa[email protected]
