Stuart's Foods Fuel Boro
Scarborough Athletic are proud to reveal that Stuart’s Foods will be fuelling the first team squad with valuable nutrients for the new 2019/20 season.
The family company, who are based in Eastfield, were established in the 1980’s has grown to provide local fresh produce, snacks and meat to the Yorkshire area.
Stuart’s Foods’ Director, Damian Howarth who has been a Scarborough supporter since 1987, is keen to continue to support the club and has agreed to provide the first team with bananas for another new season. Director Howarth, who runs the family business alongside wife, Michelle are needing no encouragement from their daughter, who look set to catch the "'Boro bug" too, engaging in football and looks set to attend games with the family in the near future.
Boro’s skipper, Michael Coulson said “The lads are professional, looking after themselves from working hard in the gym and also eating the right foods to be ahead of the opposition. Be it to be an inch faster or stronger. The bananas kindly received are a great source of nutrients for before a game and to re-fuel at half time or after a game. Thank you to Stuart’s Foods who will help us be the best we can be this season”.
Bananas are a great source of quick release carbohydrates, vitamin C for recovery and B vitamins for energy and also contain potassium, a salt which is lost through perspiration. Bananas also have other benefits, which make them a popular food for athletes.
We look forward to discussing extended relations with Stuart’s Foods in the near future.
