Match Day Information: Gateshead
Boro travel to National League North outfit Gateshead FC on Saturday 27th July as preparations for 2019/20 continue.
Gateshead, who finished the 2018/19 season in 17th place of the National League, were demoted in the summer whilst the ownership of the club was resolved. Gateshead are now looking forward to building for the future under new ownership in the National League North.
Gateshead, like Scarborough are a phoenix club, formed after the demise of the former Football League club, Gateshead AFC in the 1970's. The new club play at the Gateshead International Stadium, with a capacity of 11,800. There are around 350 free car parking spaces at the Stadium.
Former Boro loanee and Gateshead midfielder, Tom White has since joined Blackburn Rovers. Tom joined Boro from Gateshead on loan in December 2017, becoming an integral part of the promotion winning team from the homecoming season of 2017/18. White then took a big step-up to become a regular in the Heed side for 2018/19 before becoming a free agent in the summer.

John Deacey will be taking a final look at some of the players before taking forward a squad to challenge for 2019/20 with a handful of games left before the big kick off. Defenders, Isaac Assenso and T'Nique Fishley are out of contention for this fixture alongside Luke Lofts.
Kick off at the International Stadium is 3pm.
