Boro's partners Scarborough Football Scholarship taking on new students

Our partners at the Scarborough Football Scholarship are taking on new students for their courses which kick off in September.

The Scholarship, who aid the club with the link between the junior set-up and the first team, run BTEC sport courses at their Flamingo Land Stadium base, as well as degree courses, one of which our very own Michael Coulson has just signed up for.

Scholarship coaches Denny Ingram and Ryan Blott currently run the club's successful Under-19 programme, which has fed a number of players through to first-team football.

Lead tutor Steve Brennan said: "If you like football and want to further your education, it is perfect for you.

"We have had a number of scholars progress through to play for Scarborough Athletic's first team, which was one of the goals of our partnership with the club.

"There are still a few places left for September, both on our BTEC and degree courses, so if you are interested or know anyone that would be, get in touch."
