Match Preview - Scarborough Athletic v Marine (FA Cup Replay)

FA Cup football returns to the Flamingo Land Stadium this evening as Scarborough Athletic host Marine in the First Qualifying Round replay. Boro's FA Cup run was a highlight for fans last season and everyone will be hoping for a repeat this time around.
Saturday's initial tie ended 1-1, with full-back Josh Hine putting Marine ahead on 55 minutes only for James Walshaw to equalise 2 minutes later. Boro were arguably the better team on the day with Walshaw, Michael Coulson, Wayne Brooksby and Leon Scott all going close to scoring.
Boro played the final half hour with 10 men after captain Kevin Burgess was dismissed for violent conduct. However the defender is available for tonight's game with his 3 game ban starting on Saturday. This means he will miss Saturday's home game with Basford United and next Tuesday's League Cup game against Tadcaster Albion. The final game of his ban will depend on tonight's result - he will miss a Second Qualifying Round game on Saturday 22nd September should Boro win or will miss our league game at Mickleover Sports on Tuesday 25th September.
The draw was made yesterday for the Second Qualifying Round of the competition and the winners tonight will face a home tie against Frickley Athletic on Saturday 22nd September.
Tickets for tonight's game are priced as follows and are all pay at the gate:
  • Adults £10
  • Concessions £5
  • 11 & under £1 (with a paying adult)
Supporters with seated season tickets do have priority on seats for tonight's game. Once you have paid for entry at the gate please make your way to the stand with your season ticket.
Here are the highlights of Saturday's game.
