Supporters’ Game captains announcement?

The captains and vice-captains for the Supporters' Game on April 26th have been chosen.

The Blue team will be controlled by the young duo of Chris White as captain and Sam Stanhope as vice-captain. Chris has organised many full-sized matches previously and Sam is a former Brid Town Juniors and Guiseley Juniors player, who has also represented the East Riding. Both lads are 18 years old. Simon Young is stand-by vice-captain for the Blues.

The Red team will be captained by James Hunter, the match organiser, who has stepped in due to lack of serious contenders for the role, and for his knowledge of each player. James Freir will be the Reds' vice-captain, a player with Commercial FC in the Scarborough Sunday League. Darren Howes is the Reds stand-by skipper.

Two more players have been added also, to bring the squads up to 18 each.

Both goalkeepers, James Prethero will be lining up for the Reds, and Jimbo Metcalf will be Jon Hyde's back-up for the Blues.

All players are reminded to provide a head-shot photo for the match programme as soon as possible if they haven't already done so. Email them to [email protected]
