Co-operative group backing Boro

Club & Trust Chair Simon Cope said, “This is fantastic news for Scarborough fans. Not only will watching Boro at Brid be even better value for money, but we are doing our bit for the environment as well. Having 70 fans travelling on one bus is definitely greener than driving in many separate cars.”

The Co-op Boro Bus is likely to be only the first example of the Co-op and Scarborough Athletic FC working together. Cope: “The Co-operative Group is very keen to help the football community. This should be the start of a great partnership with them, and we hope to make more announcements of this sort in the future.”

The Co-op Boro Bus route has also been amended slightly to reduce journey times. As a result it will no longer call at Filey. The revised route is detailed below.

ROUTE DETAILS:

The Co-op Boro Bus departs Scarborough train station at 1.30pm on match days, and calls at the following points:

Falsgrave Road – The Athletic Ground – Crossgates – Eastfield Hotel, Cayton Low Road – The Star, Cayton

Adult Fare: £2 Junior/Concession Fare: £1
