Boro Presentation Night a big success?
Scarborough Athletic’s first awards night and end of season party was attended by nearly 100 Seadogs’ fans, players and officials on the evening of Saturday May 3.
The night, organised by the club and supporters club, was held at the Déjà vu nightclub in the town, which is owned by former Scarborough FC player Steve French. On the night Mr French gave a cheque for £200 to the club as a donation, as well as giving the club free use of the venue for the evening.
Awards given were as follows:
Golden Boot – Ryan Blott (20 goals in 21 starts)
Players' Player of the Year – Jamie Waltham
Away Player of the Year – Dave Thompson
Manager's Player of the Year – Ryan Davies (as chosen by manager Brian France)And
Supporters’ Player of the Year – Dave Thompson
These awards add to the Scarborough Evening News and Norwegian Seadogs Player of the Year awards, which were both won by Scott Phillips.
A raffle on the night raised over £100 for funds and the supporters and players also had a chance to dance the night away and show that ‘Boro’s got talent’ as the karaoke machine was turned on.
The club and supporters’ club wishes to express many thanks to Steve French, the supporters, officials and players who attended and all those who helped in the organisation of the evening, which was a great success.
